Whale Watching

Going on a whale watching tour is a popular thing to do in Terrigal.  There are two main whale watching seasons from June to November. The first season is when whales stop in at Terrigal Beach as they migrate north from the Southern Ocean to the warmer waters of the Pacific Ocean to give birth. This lasts from mid June to the first weeks in July.

The second whale watching season begins when the whales are travelling south back to the cooler waters of the Antarctic with their calves. This season operates throughout October to early November. See the humpback whales frolicking in their natural environment on a whale watching tour, one of Terrigal’s premier attractions.

Whale watching tours depart from the Ettalong Ferry wharf, only 10 minutes away from the hotel. The tours are usually 3 to 4 hours in duration and may include complimentary tea and coffee with lunch and beverages for sale onboard. Speak to the Concierge team to organise your whale watching tour when you make your booking at Crowne Plaza Terrigal.
